Facebook takes another giant leap into Snapchat's realm of comfort with releasing a stories function in Messenger.
Similar to the stories function in Instagram (which Facebook now owns), there will be a stories feed that is very much like Snapchat. You can upload text, you can add stickers or filters, or shoot photos and post them, and they will show up in a scrolling feed across your Messenger bar. The new function is called Messenger Day, and CNET notes that like Snapchat and Instagram Stories, the images will evaporate in 24 hours.
