A report released today by the World Health Organisation's International Agency for Research on Cancer announced that eating processed meat can lead to colorectal cancer in humans even as it remains a small chance but rises with the amount consumed. Widna St. Jean was at a McDonald’s in Golden Gate, Florida at around 9:30 p.m. on Thursday when a woman from the drive-thru came into the store to complain that her sandwich did not have fresh bacon. McDonald’s staff informed the unidentified woman that the bacon was fresh, but she didn't believe them, claiming she was a former McDonald’s employee and knew it was not fresh.

St. Jean, 24, said she began arguing with the angry woman, because St. Jean did not like the way the woman was talking to her friend, who was working. Eventually, the woman was given new bacon and left the McDonald’s. St. Jean left soon after and saw the woman outside in her car, where the argument started again and then became physical.

Deputies arrested St. Jean on a misdemeanor battery charge.
