Chuck D Announces New Public Enemy Album
And fans can scoop it up next week!
The 4th of July weekend is going to be HOT. Infamous rapper and outspoken political activist Check D announced along with Flava Flav that Public Enemy fans can expect the latest album from the group on Independence Day.
Chuck D is a busy dude, he’s currently on tour with Prophets of Rage, a supergroup that combines some of the best politically charged musicians of the mid to late 90’s including Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello, B-Real of Cypress Hill, DJ Lord, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk.
The new album called Nothing Is Quick In The Desert will be their first since 2015’s Man Plans God Laughs. When asked about the project’s title Chuck told HipHopDX:
“The record business is appearing like a desert, […] But the music has a life if you look at it right.”
It will be interesting to hear Chuck’s take of the state of politics in 2017. Fight the power.
