Sorry, iPhone fans, it sounds as though it might be a while before you can get your hands on an iPhone 8.

An article published on The Wrap indicates that the new iPhone has run into a production delay.

The delay is due to the advanced nature of the device’s screen and will likely push the availability back about a month from when the new iPhone was originally expected to be available.

In the past, iPhone’s were typically available for purchase 10 days after the reveal.

The Apple iPhone 8 event is scheduled for September 12.

The article also states that Apple is actively seeking new employees to help speed-up the production process, but with so many Apple customers due for an upgrade, it’s unlikely that Apple will be able to keep up with the demand once the new iPhone is available.

But hey, if you’re willing to pay $1k for the new device, perhaps Apple will surprise us all and be able to meet the demand in a reasonable amount of time.
