Let’s Talk About The “Don’t Drop The Soap” Tweet
Articles have been flying around about a tweet that Nicki Minaj wrote saying “Don’t drop the soap” leading fans to speculate she was throwing shade at Meek Mill.
In the wake of the sentencing of Jelani Maraj, brother of music icon Nicki Minaj, a tweet the pop start issues back in 2016 is getting some new consideration.
Don't drop the soap. 🙈
— Nicki Minaj (@NICKIMINAJ) May 21, 2016
The tweet is extra interesting considering that Nicki’s former boyfriend Meek Mill is facing 2-4 years after violating parole. So, Nicki fans and Meek fans have been reacting to the Tweet in equal measure.
But…here’s the thing..the tweet is from 2016.
But, it’s not completely irrelevant either.
The sentiment still stands. The tweet, as you can clearly see, is still up. So, the question that is at the heart of this “controversy” is: why would Nicki be aping a former boo while knowing full well that her brother would be facing considerably darker and more serious allegations.
For those that are unaware – Nicki’s brother, Jelani Maraj, was just found guilty of sexually assaulting an 11 year old in his home in Baldwin, New York.
