Shaquille O’Neal took to Instagram to challenge pro basketball heads on social media to come up with an NBA duo that could beat he and Kobe Bryant in a game of 2-on-2, presumably from their heyday as Los Angeles Lakers teammates.

The question was asked Name a duo that could beat SHAQ AND KOBE in a two on two matchup. Well I'm waiting. Don't hold back. Players have to be on the same team.

Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen not surprisingly was a popular response, as was Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. The duo of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade during their Miami Heat days also was thrown out there several times, a sensible suggestion, indeed.

Some unorthodox, yet compelling, suggestions were also thrown into the mix, including Gary Payton and Shawn Kemp from those dominant Seattle Supersonics squads. Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce from the Boston Celtics’ championship squad also was offered up as a possibility. Interestingly, another person suggested Kevin Durant and Draymond Green, kicking Golden State Warriors teammate and two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry to the curb.

What do you think, can anybody take Shaq and Kobe?
