Apparently everyone isn’t that excited about the possibility of Oprah Winfrey running for President in 2020.
A man in Arizona applied for the rights to use “NOprah” shirts, jackets, shoes, and other garments, presumably to make a profit. The man, only identified as “Lewis”, says he filed to trademark “NOprah” because he saw the opposition building against Oprah if she ran for president. He’s not sure if he wants to start selling the “NOprah” gear now or wait until she actually runs for the presidency.
Lewis did make clear that he personally likes Oprah… just not for President. Regardless of which way you side, this may turn out to be a pretty slick business move.
