Paras Griffin/Getty ImagesThere were plenty of places to mingle this All-Star weekend in LA. Kendrick Lamar hosted an event with Nike whose purpose was to empower females.
Lamar, who has launched a deal with Nike, unveiled his new Cortez shoe over the weekend and had time for an interview to speak about his deal with Nike and the importance of women.
"They say it's a man's world. I say a woman is art in motion, [...] I don't even like to say women or female, they're just great period."
At Lamar's show he enlisted H.E.R., DJ Millie, Kamaiyah, and Sabrina Claudio to serve as opening acts. To stay in the spirit of female empowerment Lamar stopped the show and asked for everyone to "make some noise" for all the ladies in attendance. Props to Kung Fu Kenny.
