Ronald Ilitch, Son of Mike Ilitch, Found Dead

The body of Ronald Ilitch was found at the Troy Marriott Hotel from an apparent drug overdose. Ronald Ilitch, son of Mike Ilitch former owner of the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Tigers, was found dead in Troy from an apparent drug overdose.
The family has issued this statement:
“On behalf of my mother Marian Ilitch and our entire family, I want to express our sadness and grief at Ron’s passing. We’re devastated about this loss, and we ask for respect of the family’s privacy during this difficult time.”
Ronald has had several run-ins with the law including a 2014 arrest where police found cocaine in his vehicle as well as an incident in 2006 where Oakland County police took him in on allegation of domestic violence.
