Donald Glover appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Wednesday night and talked about being a rapper.

Glover said, “Being a rapper is super awkward. You’re in the video and you’ve got champagne and butts close to your face. And then you have to go to Whole Foods.”

Glover continued, “And [people are] like ‘You’re that dude,’ and you’re like, ‘Please, I just want to buy this ice cream.’ But they are like, ‘Yo, you have to be you right now, so let’s take this picture.’ You’re like, ‘Alright.'”

He announced that he’ll be performing new Childish Gambino music at concerts in New Zealand later this year.

Have you ever run into a rapper/singer in a normal setting? Were they normal or were they “on one?”
