Kareem “Biggs” Burke Remembers The Notorious B.I.G.
March 9th is a solemn day for most Hip-Hop fans as it marks The Notorious B.I.G’s death. Roc-A-Fella co-owner, Kareem “Biggs” Burke remembers Biggie as “one of the best artists of all time”.
During the recording of Biggie and JAY-Z’s “Brooklyn’s Finest” Burke says he realized that Biggie’s crew and the Roc-A-Fella crew were just alike, “That’s what we do, we joke and play. Everybody’s really like brothers.”
Biggs also tells Rap-Up that about the famous Monopoly game played during the “Dead Presidents” video shoot where the two crews played the board game with real money, “Playing Monopoly with real money, that was just something that we did,” he said. “We had to floss. Also, at the same time, we had to front on Big and them too, because we didn’t drop an album yet so we was like, ‘What we talkin’ about is real.”
