Eminem Goes Grindhouse For “Framed” Music Video
Dead bodies, stop motion, asylums and more bleed into the visuals for Marshall Mathers‘ newest music video.
The imagery trips through quick/twitchy stop motion similar to Radiohead‘s “There. There. (The Boney King Of Nowhere),” but with fewer woodland creatures. The Detective in the video becomes the doctor at the asylum that Eminem has escaped from, but there’s not much more to be resolved.
The visuals are also spliced with animation that’s black and white. The living room scenes show Eminem scribbling on paper, and then the “Detective/Doctor” begins to wave a watch back and forth in front of Marshall, alluding to him being hypnotized.
I will say this – I personally like the video for “River” much more than this one.
