Erykah Badu Stands Her Ground After Getting Into Riff with Followers Over ‘Free Thinking’

Erykah Badu got into a heated back and forth with followers after she posted her alliance with Kanye West’s “free-thinker” tweets.

Fans questioned Badu’s views after she responded to an Instagram post where Kanye talked about being a “free-thinker” instead of going with society's norms. “See. That’s what u get for using your own brain…u know that’s illegal in most states right?” Badu tweeted Monday, April 30 at Kanye.

Badu was quick to voice her opinions to followers who didn’t agree with her or called her a “coon”, Badu hit back with amusing jabs like calling one fan, “big nostril ass”.

Badu made it clear that she doesn’t support oppression which includes oppression of the mind, Badu tweeted that “Ye’s thoughts are his own”.
