Hip-Hop Veteran Ice Cube recently did an interview and he has an interesting theory on Drake’s career.

“You’ve only got three years at the tip-top of the rap game before you have to find your place in this thing. That’s just the pattern. Everybody, Wayne when he was hot, three years on top and you were looking for somebody else.” Cube told the Sana G Morning Show.

To be clear, Cube says he doesn’t think Drake’s whole career is over, just him being at the very top of the game is less likely. When asked if he thought Pusha-T’s diss song was the reason that we would see a Drake decline Cube was unsure of that being the cause as much as he thinks audiences may want something else,

“...your reign becomes over. I think the audience has determined that more.”

Looking at the facts, Drake has been on top since his 2008 hit, “Best I Ever Had”, Drake also holds the record for the most top 10 hits on the Billboard Top 100. So his three-year run has turned into 10 years.

Do you think Drake’s career is on the decline?
