All of The New iOS 12 Features
Have you updated to the newest iOS for Apple products yet? If not, you are missing out on these cool new features.
Siri Shortcuts
The new iOS 12 feature Siri Shortcuts allows iPhone users to map things on their phones like workouts, phone calls, navigation, and more. A man from Arizona named Robert Petersen made a shortcut that activates his phone’s camera with a simple command. He just has to say, “Hey Siri, I’ve been pulled over.”
Then the phone takes care of the rest. Petersen suggests that you keep your phone in a dash mount, and once you stop recording the shortcut will send the recording to a person that you choose.
Group Facetime
Group FaceTime allows you to chat with up to 32 people simultaneously. Since it’s now integrated into iMessage, you can easily set up a group FaceTime call through the iMessage group chat window. You also have the option to add fun effects like stickers and Memoji while on the FaceTime call.
Animoji and Memoji
Fear not, iOS 12 is bringing more Animojis to the fold, including the koala, tiger, T-Rex, and ghost. There is also a feature that is new that lets you add either a wink or a tongue to any Animoji.
But that’s not all — Apple also introduced Memoji. You will now be able to create an augmented reality character that resembles you, and it doesn’t stop at premade versions; you’ll be able to choose different eye colors, hairstyles, and even add things like freckles to make it match as closely as you want.
911 Location Data
iOS 12 will not make it easier so that your location data is shared directly with 911 and emergency responders when you place a 911 call.
Measure App
The newest way to stress out your boyfriend, the Measure App, allows you to easily get direct measurements of any objects around you. By tapping the object and dragging out a line, it will display a measurement right on your screen. You can also extend the measurements by tapping along the edges and dragging down.
