Apparently, Michael Jackson wanted to play James Bond.
In a new book written by Jackson’s agent Michael Ovitz, Ovitz talks about a time when the King of Pop discussed his want to be the next 007.
According to Metro, Jackson told Ovitz and his business partner Ron Meyer one day about the desire to play Bond but coincidentally, Jackson’s hat fell in some guacamole and they couldn’t hold it together and when they laughed, Jackson stormed out of the room.
Later, Orvitz was able to find Jackson and tell him that they weren’t laughing at him for the Bond comments but then had to explain to MJ why he’s not the right person for the 007 character after Jackson continued his desire to play the role.
Since then, we still have not had a black James Bond although Idris Elba has been linked to the role as of late.
