Would You Eat Mountain Dew Turkey ???
Yes you read that correctly. A Mountain Dew Turkey does exist and it might give me nightmares later this week. I don’t think I’m going to try it. Now it’s not like the turkey is stuffed with cans of pop, but its more of a brine that is put on the turkey the night before Thanksgiving.
Steps To A Perfect Mountain Dew Turkey:
- Mix equal parts of Mountain Dew and water in a bucket
- For every liter of mixture, add 1/4 cup of kosher salt then put the turkey in the mixture overnight.
- Make sure that you pat the turkey dry, stuff it as you like, cook it and enjoy!
Like I said I don’t think I’ll be doing this tomorrow. My aunt does a huge dinner at her house every year. Below is a video of an apple cider brine that she copies! We do one deep fried turkey, and a normal oven roasted turkey. I don’t see my aunt doing a mountain dew rub, but hey, to each their own! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
