Would You Eat Mountain Dew Turkey ???

Yes you read that correctly. A Mountain Dew Turkey does exist and it might give me nightmares later this week. I don’t think I’m going to try it. Now it’s…

STAMFORD, CT – NOVEMBER 24: Central American immigrants and their families pray before Thanksgiving dinner on November 24, 2016 in Stamford, Connecticut. Family and friends, some of them U.S. citizens, others on work visas and some undocumented immigrants came together in an apartment to celebrate the American holiday with turkey and Latin American dishes. They expressed concern with the results of the U.S. Presidential election of president-elect Donald Trump, some saying their U.S.-born children fear the possibilty their parents will be deported after Trump’s inauguration. Yes you read that correctly. A Mountain Dew Turkey does exist and it might give me nightmares later this week. I don't think I'm going to try it. Now it's not like the turkey is stuffed with cans of pop, but its more of a brine that is put on the turkey the night before Thanksgiving.

Steps To A Perfect Mountain Dew Turkey:

  1. Mix equal parts of Mountain Dew and water in a bucket
  2. For every liter of mixture, add 1/4 cup of kosher salt then put the turkey in the mixture overnight.
  3. Make sure that you pat the turkey dry, stuff it as you like, cook it and enjoy!

Like I said I don't think I'll be doing this tomorrow. My aunt does a huge dinner at her house every year. Below is a video of an apple cider brine that she copies! We do one deep fried turkey, and a normal oven roasted turkey. I don't see my aunt doing a mountain dew rub, but hey, to each their own! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
