After a 15 year run across from Campus Martius Park, sadly, Jan. 26 will be the café's last day open.

"The space that Hard Rock Café will soon vacate is one of the handful of top-notch, premium locations for a restaurant/retailer in all of downtown Detroit, and is in the heart of the burgeoning and exciting urban core of the Motor City," Dan Gilbert, co-owner of the property,  said in a statement.

"There is strong demand from several impressive national and local brands for this Campus Martius-facing and Woodward Avenue-facing street-level location."
