Man Can’t Walk Talk or See After Getting Flu Shot
This scary story comes out of the state of Nevada. Shane Morgan walked into a local pharmacy and received a flu shot. Two days later Mr. Morgan was unable to walk talk or see anything and was rushed immediately to the hospital.
He was later diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome, which the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recognizes as a “very rare” side effect to vaccines. GBS occurs when a person’s immune system attacks the nerves that control sensation and movement. It causes progressive paralysis that starts in the feet and moves up through the rest of the body.
He’s been in the care of the hospital now for over a month. His family has started a GoFundMe in his name for the rising medical expenses. They’ve been able to raise over $10,000 so far.
