But what about those athletes who were so close to being able to take part, but missed out. Jason Koster and Moira de Villiers won Bronze and Silver at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, and were planning to qualify for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. Both Koster and de Villiers missed qualification by one win. Instead of competing at the Olympic Games in Rio, they watch on and continue their daily life in New Zealand.
