This is just the newest of news in the R Kelly saga that's been playing out in the media in the past month or so...

According to thegrio.com Australians are looking to ban R Kelly from ever entering the country.

"Australia’s Labor party released a statement to the public that called for the country to deny his visa. Labor strongly supports the refusal or cancellation of visas of non-citizens on character or criminal grounds. The document stated."

Apparently Kelly had been trying to get back to touring, he was booked for several European countries including heading to the land down under before this news broke. It should also be noted that he was trying to do a few shows here in the US. Most notably in Philadelphia.

However members of the city council voted to #MuteRKelly ... Not allowing him to perform in the city just last Thursday.

Philadelphia City Councilwoman Helen Gym made the announcement on Twitter stating, “Philly stands with survivors.”

Brian has been working in pop culture and media for about three decades: he’s worked at MTV, VH1, SiriusXM, CBS and Loudwire. Besides working as a writer and an editor-in-chief, he’s also appeared on air as a pundit, guested on radio shows and hosted podcasts. Over the years, he’s interviewed the surviving members of Led Zeppelin, the members of U2, Beyonce, Pink, Usher, Stevie Nicks, Lorde… and is grateful to have had the chance to interview Joe Strummer of the Clash and Tom Petty.
