Today (Feb. 22), the news was shared on Instagram via her daughter, Kamaya.

She shared a photograph of her mother on the social media platform, and wrote, “From my bestfriend on earth to My beautiful angel in heaven ????????❤️????mama girl you know ima miss you????…. I love you so much. I’m so heartbroken but the way you looked so @ peace this past week has confirmed that you are resting… no more asthma attacks… damn but baby I am going to miss you.”

R&B singer Tamar Braxton, who is close to the Harris family also confirmed the unfortunate news. The singer and reality TV star shared a photo of herself with Harris on Instagram, and wrote, “Maaaaaaaaaaannnnn…..This cannot be our last picture. I didn’t want to post ANYTHING cause I just knew that u were going to be ok. Because you are Precious and your the one who is ALWAYS ok! I will truly miss you and your positivity and wanting to get things straight when things weren’t so good @kamayadaplugI’m so sorry. My heart aches for you. No ONE has ANY time for this!! I love you and @majorgirl @troubleman31 and all the lives she’s has touched. My deepest condolences ???????? may God heal your broken hearts. ????”

Harris had recently gotten into a severe car accident in Atlanta and was put on life support, according to TMZ.

She was also a cast member of T.I. and his wife, Tiny’s VH1 reality TV show, T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle.

Harris was 66 years old.
