Today (Mar. 1), Cardi B and Bruno Bars dropped the visuals to their latest single “Please Me”.

The video takes place “Somewhere in Los Angeles,” and begins with the new Grammy Award-winner walking into a Mexican restaurant with a group of friends while Mars sits at a table amongst a group of friends and gets distracted by Cardi B.

The video is a nod to the popular 1978 film Grease starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John.

In the video, Cardi B rocks a purple leather jacket adorned with gold and purple jewels with matching shorts and black boots while her friends who serve as her backup dancers rock denim outfits. Mars keeps it simple in a deep green jacket, a yellow t-shirt, and black pinstripe pants with Chuck Taylor sneakers.

Cardi’s hair is in cornrows to the back with gold and clear beads, similar to R&B singer Patrice Rushen’s signature style.

“Please Me” is the follow-up to the two collaborator’s previous hit single “Finesse.”

Yesterday, Cardi announced on Instagram that the video would be out today. The Bronx rapper stated that she was scared to release the video, but that she likes it a lot, before playfully saying that she loves her husband, Offset’s “d***”.
