Downtown Detroit Indoor “Beach” Opens To Public

From the friends of the Library Street Collective who brought us the pop-up Rainbow Roller Skating Rink comes the new indoor "beach" ball pit (using the term "beach" loosely considering we obviously don't have a beach in the middle of downtown Detroit in the winter nonetheless it has beach vibes).

Now open to the public, Wednesdays through Sunday, you can come enjoy a family-friendly space filled with about 400,000 recycled, antimicrobial plastic balls to replicate a water with beach chairs on the side to view.  It is free to enjoy but highly recommended you set a reservation in advance.

Where: 1001 Woodward Avenue

When: Wednesday through Friday from noon to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.

Note: The installation will be open through April 14.
