Report: Cardi B To Trademark ‘Okurrr’
Cardi B is all about her coin. Okurrr!
The “Please Me” rapper filed to trademark her popular catchphrase “Okurrr,” reports The Blast.
Cardi B filed to trademark “Okurrr” for merchandising purposes, so fans of the Grammy Award-winning artist might see her catchphrase on paper goods, cups, posters, t-shirts, jackets, and hats soon.
Last April, while stopping by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Cardi B referred to her catchphrase as “a cold pigeon in New York City.”
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper is also headed to the silver screen. Cardi B is set to star in a new upcoming feature film titled Hustlers alongside Hollywood heavyweights Jennifer Lopez, Constance Wu, and Keke Palmer, reports Shadow and Act.
The film is a stripper-revenge flick that will begin shooting this week in New York City.
It’s based on a New York Magazine/The Cut article from 2015 titled, “The Hustlers at Scores,” and is about strip club employees who unite to “turn the tables” on their Wall Street clientele.
