New Bill Would Lower DUI Level
If a new Michigan bill is passed, even one alcoholic drink could put you in jeopardy of a D.U.I. The current Blood Alcohol Concentration limit (or BAC limit) is currently 0.08% (meaning if you blow 0.08 or more in a test you are under the influence). That was the standard across the nation until Utah lowered theirs to 0.05% making it the lowest in the country and Michigan may follow.
Of course, this means it will take less alcohol to get you to the new BAC limit, depending on your weight (among other factors). The bill is supposed to manage and lower the number of drunk drivers on the road. Do you support it?
