Just a year after the opening of LeBron James’ I Promise School the inaugural third and fourth graders are doing a better job than James expected.

All 240 students who are attending the school originally tested in the one percentile in reading, just a year later the third graders’ test scores jumped to the ninth percentile and the fourth graders jumped to the 16th percentile. After receiving the test scores, Lebron was very excited about the student’s progress, “Now people are going to really understand the lack of education they had before they came to our school,” said LeBron. Besides a quality education, students that are in need also received clothing and snacks which is funded by LeBron’s foundation. Do you think our current education system is failing our kids?
