Walmart Raises Tobacco Age Limit To 21…

Walmart announced Wednesday that they will raise the minimum age limit to buy tobacco products and e-cigarettes at its U.S. stores to 21…a start to help fight tobacco use among minors.

Walmart is the world’s largest retailer and also said they will stop selling flavored e-cigarettes, which many say can also get teenagers hooked on vaping.

The new rules will be effective in July at all its 5,300 U.S. stores, including Sam’s Club warehouse locations.

Walmart’s minimum age to purchase tobacco used to be 18, whereas in other states, the legal age is 21.

MDOT says the detour for northbound and southbound I-75 is Woodward Avenue (M-1) .
