June 1st Declared “Nipsey Hussle Appreciation Day”

Nipsey Hussle’s impact was felt all across the country before his death in March.

The Los Angeles native is being honored in Harlem, New York.

The village of Harlem officially declared June 1st as “Nipsey Hussle Appreciation Day.”

TheShadeRoom reports that officials made the announcement at Ruckers Park Saturday, June 1, 2019.

Instagram user indigotaughtyou – Indigo Grant – revealed she was able to get four proclamations and eight citations passed in Hussle’s honor.

In Los Angeles, a memorial basketball court at Crete Academy in Hyde Park was created as a tribute to the artist.

The intersection at Crenshaw Blvd. and Slauson Street in Los Angeles was renamed Ermias “Nipsey Hussle” Asghedom Square.
