Michigan’s Favorite Ice Cream is…
Surprise them with an after-school snack: Most after-school snacks should be on the healthy side, but for the first day, perhaps some ice cream could be in order. For high school kids, maybe their favorite coffee drink.
Superman!
Superman ice cream has been associated with Michigan for a long time with many crediting beer maker Stroh’s with inventing it.
Today, you can find the flavor in ice cream shops and stores throughout the state.
Flavors vary depending on where you go, but usually include some combination of vanilla or lemon for the yellow, black cherry or red pop for the red and blue moon for the blue.
Michigan was the only state that listed the tri-colored treat as its favorite.
