Michigan School District To Ban Cell Phones Next Year
A school district near Grand Rapids has been gaining attention due to their new rule set to take place in the upcoming 2019-2020 school year. Forest Hills school district has decided that during class hours, students must leave their phones in their lockers as they are not allowed to be used on campus.
The rule has sparked many different responses and was made to help decrease distractions in the classroom. Many parents are concerned that they will not be able to reach their children in case of an emergency while some are in agreement with the decision.
Will other school districts follow in the footsteps of what may seem to be a innovative move? How do you feel about schools banning cell phones?
