NEW YORK, NY - JULY 26: A six pack of Bud Light sits on a shelf for sale at a convenience store, July 26, 2018 in New York City. Anheuser-Busch InBev, the brewer behind Budweiser and Bud Light, said on Thursday that U.S. revenues fell 3.1% in the second quarter. Aliens need beer too!

The latest viral sensation is the “Storm Area 51” raid, which began as a Facebook event that has now reached over 1.6 million attendees! “Old Town Road” artist, Lil Nas X has offered to perform at the raid, and Guy Fieri said he’ll cook up some food. Even Machete star, Danny Trejo is down to join. Well, now it appears that Area 51 has gotten some corporate sponsors. According to the official Twitter account for Bud Light, the beer company is offering up a free drink to any aliens who make it out of the raid.

There’s even an official Area 51 special edition.

While this isn’t real, it’s nice to see Bud Light joining in on the fun.

Area 51 is the Nevada-based facility run by the U.S. Air Force. It is a highly classified facility, which many theories point to as the primary place where extraterrestrial discoveries are kept hidden.  Naturally, a lot of those conspiracies have leaked into pop culture, where many TV shows and films have used Area 51 as inspiration for all kinds of sci-fi or sci-fi horror fantasy scenarios.
