On Friday, Willow Smith dropped her third album, Willow

The experimental 8-track album weaves between airy pop and R&B soundscapes. The album was entirely produced by the 18-year-old singer and her boyfriend, Tyler Cole, who took to Instagram to thank Smith for allowing him to create Willow with her.

Thank you so much for trusting and allowing me to create your album with you,” Cole wrote. “I am so proud of this and I enjoyed every single moment in the studio.”

The album was recorded in Los Angeles, Paris, Portland, and New York City, according to Cole. Smith’s older brother, Jaden Smith, is the only guest on the album; he is featured on the track, “U KNOW.” Content-wise, Willow features songs about relationships, women empowerment, and general issues.

On Friday, Willow announced that her album was out via Instagram, and she asked her 4.9 million followers what their favorite songs were. In a previous IG post, she also expressed her excitement about the new album.  “I am so ecstatic to share this project with all my light eaters,” she wrote. “Let the digestion begin.”
