21 Savage recently announced that he’s gearing up to release the sequel to his 2016 collaborative mixtape with Metro Boomin.

21 Savage made the announcement during the Los Angeles tour stop on the Atlanta-based rapper’s “i am> i was” tour at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall, at the end of his show, while standing alongside Metro Boomin.

Savage Mode 2 on the motherfu**in’ way!” he told the audience, who erupted in cheers before 21 disappeared.

During the “A Lot” rapper’s set, he also paid homage to the late Nipsey Hussle. “Los Angeles, California, I want to say R.I.P. to Nipsey Hussle,” 21 said. “We lost a real soldier.”

There have been rumors regarding Savage Mode 2 for a while, but 21 Savage’s announcement was the first confirmation that the project is actually coming.
