MIAMI, FL - FEBRUARY 02: Construction work signs are stacked against a fence near a $559-million reconstruction project, some of which is being federally funded, at the interchange connecting State Road 826 and SR 836, one of the most heavily congested areas in Miami-Dade County, on February 2, 2015 in Miami, Florida. President Barack Obama announced his $4 trillion, 2016 budget on Monday, and is requesting $478 billion over six years to make significant repairs to the nations infrastructure and to build new bridges, roads, and railways. A busy intersection in Oakland County will close down this weekend for reconstruction and remain closed through the middle of next month.

Novi Rd. will close at 12 Mile on Aug. 2 for the second phase of the ongoing reconstruction of the intersection.

The project that will cost $1.1 million will remove and replace concrete, removal and replace Novi Rd. approaches, reconstruct the 12 Mile Rd. turnaround, improve drainage, upgrade pedestrian crossings and make crosswalks and sidewalks ADA-compliant.

During construction, one lane of 12 Mile will remain open, and access to businesses in the area will be maintained.

The detour is to take Grand River Avenue to Meadowbrook Road to 13 Mile Road, back to Novi Road and vice versa.

Stay safe Detroit!
