Victoria’s Secret Hires First Ever Transgender Model
The 22-year-old Brazilian, Valentina Sampaio, has reportedly been hired to appear in a Victoria’s Secret campaign.
This would make her the first transgender model for the company.
Sampaio posted a photo on her Instagram page of her sitting in a bathrobe backstage in Long Island, New York.
She claimed to be a photo shoot for the company’s PINK line.
She also posted a selfie video and a pic of her smiling with the caption…
“Life is amazing… Love more and hate less, hate is useless, just do not waste time with it!”
Victoria’s Secret and parent company L Brands have not yet commented on her posts.
This is a part of the company’s attempt to rebrand after declining sales and following controversial comments made last year about the idea of including plus-size and transgender models in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
