Okay so with all of the recent chicken sandwich talk and chaos, there has been a huge debate about who has the best chicken sandwich?!

Truth be told, it’s been awhile since I’ve had a Wendy’s Chicken Sandwich and I was happy with it, but now with the talk about the spicy chicken sandwich being top notch, it has me curious.

Of course, Chick-Fil-A is good period. I haven’t had one bad item from that restaurant and the service is always top notch. That chicken sandwich with pickles and pepper jack cheese, YASSSSS.

But Popeyes? I can’t say I’ve ever had a chicken sandwich from Popeyes. When I think Popeyes, I think about the family meals and the mashed potatoes and gravy and how greasy my hands get. Recently, they’ve entered the debate and claim to have the best chicken sandwich. People all over my Facebook news feed is going on and on about how great the sandwich is.

So I got curious. I decided to drive up to Popeyes and try one for myself. “We’re all out of chicken sandwiches.” Crap. Of course you are. To be fair, it was around 9pm or so so I get it, people have probably been banging down your doors all day.

I drive to another one on the opposite side of town. “We don’t have anymore chicken sandwiches.” UGH!!!! I legit froze up and just wanted to cry.

I read an article today about how Popeyes is selling out of chicken sandwiches all over NYC and I can confidently confirm that it is happening here in Detroit as well. I am going back tonight. Third time’s a charm!
