Where did Michigan fall on the “Top 50 Friendliest Sates in America” List?

It wasn’t in the top 10… or top 20.

A website called Big Seven Travel asked its readers to rank all 50 states according to how friendly people are.

New York was named the rudest state in America. Are we surprised here? EVERYONE in New York City just appears to be in a bad mood. It’s probably the traffic.

What I find surprising is Michigan placed #28 on the list. Here was the reason: “Michiganders like to think of themselves as a friendly bunch, but Detroit and Ann Arbor in particular can be hard nuts to crack. In general, people here have a good sense of humour and are easy-going with Midwest politeness.” Uh… how many times have you been to the D?

Everyone that I’ve met since moving here four months ago has been extremely nice and welcoming. I call BS!
