Mattel continues its Inspiring Women Series with the debut of civil rights activist Rosa Parks.

The doll is included with a brief story of Parks’ life, including her decision to not give up her bus seat to a white passenger in 1955.

In a statement, Mattel said that each woman in the series has been chosen as role models or heroines of their time who paved the way for the next generation of girls and women.  Other women featured in the series have included Frida Kahlo and Amelia Earhart.  Mattel has also announced that astronaut Sally Ride will be featured in the collection.

Which other female role models should be included in the series?
