R&B newcomer Summer Walker recently inspired rapper Drake with her debut album, Over It. The “Girls Need Love” singer took to Instagram to share a screenshot of the DM thread between the two artists where Drizzy told her that she made him “write two songs.”

Drake sent Walker a DM where he referenced her song “Fun Girl” alongside a ton of emojis. Walker replied to the Toronto artist, “Thanks lol.”

Drake shot back, “Nah wtf. U snapped. Just made me write two songs. It’s 7:30 am here. Album crazy.”  “Me inspiring you is crazy,” Walker replied.

Over It was released on Friday (Oct. 4) via LoveRenaissance/Interscope. It serves as the highly-anticipated follow up to Walker’s 2018 mixtape Last Day of Summer.
