WHEELING, IL - SEPTEMBER 19: Halloween candy is offered for sale at a Walgreens store on September 19, 2013 in Wheeling, Illinois. Walgreens, the nation's largest drugstore chain, has been expanding the merchandise offerings at many of their stores to include fresh food and grocery items.

If you’re having a hard time figuring out what candy you should get for the little trick-or-treaters visiting your door this Halloween, here’s what America’s saying.

Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are America’s favorite Halloween candy according to a phone survey of over 1,000 adults. A Monmouth University pool says the chocolate and peanut butter combo accounted for 36 percent of the votes followed by Snickers at 18 percent. M&M’s came in third with 11 percent.

Shockingly, candy corn came in with 6 percent of the votes and tied with Hersey’s plain chocolate bars. Starburst, Skittles, and Tootsie Pops came in at 5, 4 and 2 respectively.

What is the worst Halloween candy? When you eat your peanut butter cup, do you eat both cups or do you save one for later?
