VETERANS: Here is a List of All the Businesses Offering Veteran’s Day Discounts Today
Today, November 11th, is Veterans Day in the United States. The day, which started as “Armistence Day” in 1919 to commemorate the ending of World War I, became a national holiday in 1938.
Veterans Day is a day intended to celebrate all Veterans, living and deceased, from all wars. The holiday was still called “Armistence Day” until President Eisenhower changed the name to “Veterans Day” in 1954.
Today, there are over 18 million living veterans in America who have served in at least one war. Today, we honor them by remembering their great sacrifice and thanking them for everything they have done for our country.
