Saturday Night Live just filled in some pretty big booking blanks with some serious talent.

They announced that Jennifer Lopez will host the December 7 episode, and the musical guest will be DaBaby.

The following episode, on December 14, will be hosted by Scarlett Johansson (the fiance of "Weekend Update" co-anchor and head writer Colin Jost), and Naill Horan will be the musical guest. Horan will be the second former One Direction member to appear on the show this season; Harry Styles hosted and was the musical guest this past weekend.

Eddie Murphy had already been announced as the host of the December 21 episode -- it will mark his first appearance on the show since he left the cast more than 35 years ago (he did briefly appear at an anniversary episode in 2015). The musical guest for that episode had been "TBD" but SNL has just announced that it will be Lizzo. The R&B singer is having a great day: in addition to this booking, it was announced that she leads all artists with eight Grammy nominations.

Brian has been working in pop culture and media for about three decades: he’s worked at MTV, VH1, SiriusXM, CBS and Loudwire. Besides working as a writer and an editor-in-chief, he’s also appeared on air as a pundit, guested on radio shows and hosted podcasts. Over the years, he’s interviewed the surviving members of Led Zeppelin, the members of U2, Beyonce, Pink, Usher, Stevie Nicks, Lorde… and is grateful to have had the chance to interview Joe Strummer of the Clash and Tom Petty.
