Mattel has announced that they will be releasing a limited-edition version of the classic card game “UNO” that replaces the red and blue cards with orange and purple cards.
The purpose behind this new edition? To stop political-based trash talking at the UNO table!
The new version is called the “Non-Partisan UNO”, the company has decided that eliminating the blue that represents the Democratic party and the red that represents the Republican party is the best way to keep family members from starting political conversations at the UNO table during Thanksgiving.
The deck also comes with an extra “VETO” card, which can be played by anyone at anytime in order to stop any political conversations that occur at the table.
The new decks are currently on sale at Wal-Mart for $5.99.
