Where does Detroit land on the “Safest Cities in the U.S.” list?

WalletHub just ranked the 182 biggest cities in the U.S. from the safest to least safe.

The rankings are based on 41 factors, including terrorist attacks, mass shootings , murders, traffic deaths , natural disaster risk, identity theft and job security.

The safest city in the country is Columbia, Maryland.

The rest of the top 10 are: Yonkers, New York . . . Plano, Texas . . . Gilbert, Arizona . . . South Burlington, Vermont . . . Virginia Beach, Virginia . . . Bismarck, North Dakota . . . Nashua, New Hampshire . . . Chandler, Arizona . . . and Warwick, Rhode Island.

The least safe city in the country is . . . St. Louis.

The rest of the bottom 10 are: Fort Lauderdale, Florida . . . San Bernardino, California . . . Detroit . . . Baton Rouge, Louisiana . . . Little Rock, Arkansas . . . Birmingham, Alabama . . . Oklahoma City . . . Memphis . . . and Jackson, Mississippi.

So Detroit makes the top 5 in the least safe list, as expected!
