Eddie Murphy’s Movie Role Regrets
On a recent episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon comedy legend, Eddie Murphy made an appearance as he is slowly stepping back into the spotlight. He is promoting his return to Saturday Night Live tonight (Dec. 21, 2019) after 35 years along with other projects.
During his interview, Eddie explained to Jimmy some of the movie roles he was offered and accepted as well as rejected and what his rejects were. Murphy explained that he was offered a role in Ghostbusters with Dan Aykroyd but he turned it down to star in Beverly Hills Cop (great choice). He later talked about regretting not taking the role in Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, the live-person and animation mash-up movie. “I was like, ‘What? Animations and people? That sound like bullsh*t to me!’ Now every time I see it I feel like an idiot. I love that movie.” Eddie said.
