Marvel has been more open to diverse superheroes who represent people of all backgrounds. Now they are debuting a superhero by the name of Amulet who is Arab American from Dearborn, Michigan.

The creator of the superhero, Amulet, is Saladin Ahmed from Detroit who also wrote the “Magnificient Ms. Marvel” series. Amulet is part of a long line of diverse supers Marvel plans to release soon along with a transgender superhero, a gay superhero and more.

Representation is important, especially as an adolescent, as it can determine aspirations for those who see others like them in positions they want to be in. How do you feel about the new superhero’s Marvel has yet to debut?
