At midnight Thursday, Eminem surprise-released a new album, Music To Be Murdered By.

The 20-song album features guest appearances by Ed Sheeran, Black Thought, Q-Tip, Royce Da 5’9″, Anderson .Paak, Young M.A., Juice WRLD and Joell Ortiz.

He also dropped the anti-gun violence music video for “Darkness,” which uses elements of the 1964 Simon & Garfunkel song “The Sound Of Silence.” Both the song and the video seem influenced by the 2017 Route 91 Harvest country music festival shooting in Las Vegas, where a gunman opened fire from his hotel room and killed 58 people before killing himself.

The highly charged and potentially triggering video ends with news footage of numerous mass shootings in America, and then the graphic on the screen asks, “When will this end? When enough people care. Register to vote at Vote.gov. Make your voice heard and help change gun laws in America. For information on how you can help, please visit Eminem.com/darkness.”
