Rick and Morty star in the delightfully bizarre Super Bowl ad for Pringles.
The 30-second spot features Morty “flavor stacking” different Pringles chips to create new flavor only it isn’t really Morty; it’s Pringles-branded robot. Once Rick discovers this, he exclaims, “Pringles! We’re trapped in a Pringles commercial! They must’ve taken us in our sleep!”
It’s the very first Super Bowl ad to feature the popular Adult Swim show. In a statement to Entertainment Weekly, Adult Swim’s Senior Vice President of Marketing and Partnerships Jill King said, “‘Rick and Morty’ is the biggest comedy show around, so of course we were extremely excited about their first trip to the Big Game. With Pringles’ fun personality and devoted audience, there’s no better partner for Rick and Morty’s big debut.”
