On Friday (Jan. 31), Lil Wayne surprisingly dropped a new album entitled Funeral. Early Friday morning, Weezy took to Instagram to share a snippet of the album, writing, “12amPST / 3amEST,” as his caption.
The surprise album dropped at midnight on PST and 3 am on EST. After the album dropped for west coasters, Wayne took to Instagram to tease the new album again for those who weren’t on PST, writing, “2 more hours,” alongside a wilted rose emoji.
The album is the follow up to the New Orleans rapper’s long-awaited 2018 release The Carter V. The 24-track album contains features by artists including Big Sean, Lil Baby, Jay Rock, Adam Levine, 2 Chainz, Takeoff, The Dream, Lil Twist, Satan’s Kid, and XXXTenTacion.
